Welcome to Our Faithful Home! I've always been a lover of the written word and started this blog to keep my family and friends connected as we travel around the country, settling wherever the Army tells us. As the years have passed since establishing Our Faithful Home, my writing has taken on more of an intentional faith focus, hoping to encourage and inspire us all to live closer to Christ (while still remaining true to the blog's original intent).
I am a former high school English teacher, enjoying the blessing (and utter craziness) of being a stay-at-home mom and my husband, Tim, is an Apache helicopter pilot in the Army. Tim and I met in high school English class and married after college. Our ten years in the military have found us stationed at Ft. Rucker, AL; Ft. Hood, TX; and Ft. Bliss, TX. Currently, we are stationed at West Point where Tim is instructing at The United States Military Academy. We have two children, a strong-willed and sweet-spirited daughter named Adeline and our son, Lincoln, a joyful little bulldozer. With our transient lifestyle and all the unknowns that the Army hands us, our faith in Christ keeps us grounded and able to handle whatever comes our way, trusting in God's plan for our family.
