Yesterday, Addie has her six month check-up at Davis Monthan AFB. The nurse measured her height, weight, and head circumference, while noting what a quiet baby she is. We had to wait for over 30 minutes for the doctor to come in so Addie busied herself playing with the tissue paper lining the exam table, ripping it into shreds, rolling over, doing her version of Riverdance, and looking in the mirror. Dr. Hatcher commented on what a gorgeous baby she is and wondered what color her eyes would be as there's a little bit of everything in there now. She noted her sensitive skin, but everything else proved to be good during her physical. Her weight was 14 lbs. 4.2 oz., putting her in the 16th percentile. The doctor was shocked with her drop in percentile for height, but explained that it's hard to get an accurate reading of height on a baby; she went from the 40-some percentile to the 8th percentile. After her appointment she had another vaccine and all went well there. Our next appointment will be in August for her 9 month check-up.
