Welcome to the third day of our 40 day challenge! As we set out on day three, I'm reminded that Jesus rose from the dead three days after He was crucified. As such, I think it would be fitting to practice one of the commands Jesus gave us after He was resurrected, the Great Commission, to be precise. In Matthew 28:16-20, Jesus states, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." How exhilarating is it that every day we have the opportunity to share the love of Christ, planting seeds that could lead to an eternity in Heaven with our Savior?! All we need is a little courage.
40 Day Challenge--Day 3:
Share your faith in Christ. It's up to you how you accomplish this goal. If you feel uncomfortable sharing your faith at this point in your walk, a simple act of love is the perfect option, since the greatest commandment is to love, and the most effective way to disciple begins with emulating Christ's love. You could share a verse from the Bible (on Facebook, Twitter, in a text, email, letter, over the phone or in person). You might even consider sharing your testimony with someone who could benefit from your story. Ask God for the opportunity to express your faith and He will provide! You just have to say "YES!" Remember that Christ promises to be with us in this endeavor!
Once you've completed the challenge, please return to leave a comment telling us about your "sharing" experience!
